On Tuesday, December 3, 2019 the National Honor Society held itś induction ceremony.  The juniors and seniors accepted this year were recognized for their hard work and dedication.

The ceremony was opened by Principal Kaste. Assistant Principal Yarmus also came to support the students on their achievements.

Dr. Brewer-LaPorta is the adviser and head of NHS.

National Honor Society is a way for students who have demonstrated qualities of leadership in their community to be recognized for their accomplishments. Students must be high standing members of the community, have done community service and have good grades.

“It was really nice to finally be honored for my academic achievements and community service,” said Ariana Nobles.

This year there were 99 inductees.

The ceremony was a candlelit induction. The inductees walked across the stage with a candle and signed their name in the book of members. They received their certificates from Principal Kaste.

There was a refreshments hour after the ceremony for family and friends of the inductees to celebrate their wonderful accomplishments with them. Inductees got the opportunity to take more pictures on stage.
