After an hour long practice, the National Honor Society inductees walked into the auditorium wearing yellow and blue corsages and boutonnieres. The pledge of allegiance was read and the entire audience took their seats to listen to the officers’ speeches.

Victor Yang, president of NHS, gave a speech about scholarship, followed by Sohan Saha, the vice president, who gave a speech about leadership.

Secretary Jessica Ader followed with speech about service and Tasnia Akhter gave the final officer speech about compassion.

Following their speeches, Principal Mr. Kaste came up to the podium and congratulated the students on receiving this honor.

The inductees names were called, they walked across the stage, signed the book, and received their certificate.

“The inductees all looked amazing and the induction went amazing,” said Ms. Eckert, one of the NHS advisors. The induction ceremony was closed with a speech by the principal and a photo of the new inductees.

Member Danae Drews said the ceremony was enjoyable.

“I liked it, it was very nice,” said Drews. “I’m proud to be an NHS member.”

After the ceremony, inductees met their friends and family to eat and celebrate the honor of being in the National Honor Society.
