Elyssia Rukaj is a senior in high school, and this is her second year at The Wire. She is sociable and an avid writer. She volunteers at Central Valley Elementary and loves working with kids. She is originally from Manhattan and loves the hustle and bustle of the city. She is eager to go to Hunter College and eventually become a professor if all goes according to plan. She is a cat person and took the journalism class her freshman year. This class inspired her to join newspaper club and perhaps in the future travel the world for some much-needed information! Journalism opened up a much more ambitious side to her and made her realize when you want to know something- ask! She is excited to be the new Social Media Specialist (SMS), and let people see inside the day of a Crusader on The Wire News‘ Instagram.
