Maya is a Junior at Monroe-Woodbury Highschool and this is her first year as a member of The Wire News. She has lived in Monroe-Woodbury the entirety of her life and is keen on reporting about her community. She enjoys listening to music, reading historical fiction, watching horror movies, and writing about everything and anything in her free time. Maya loves to try new things and prides herself on her vast amount of interests and hobbies.  Her latest topic of interest is what sets apart good journalism. She is excited to be included in the process of writing and publishing articles.
