Text reads: Their Friends. Their Stories. One Year. One Book. Last Chance to Preserve it All.For over 50 years, Monroe-Woodbury High School has produced dozens of yearbooks featuring thousands of students.

The high school’s yearbook club is one of the most populated clubs in the school, with students of all grades making the book day after day, every year.

Ms. Rosario, a special education teacher, is one of the advisers of the club. According to Ms. Rosario, the students apply dedication and effort to make the book as perfect as possible.

“This yearbook is about leaving your mark or leaving behind something for the future in a good way,” said Ms. Rosario.

The book involves student and staff volunteers who use their time to collect pictures, look at the rosters and to design the cover and the interior pages.

The process to make the yearbook takes 11 months, from May to April. Financially speaking, it is not an easy project because of the high cost of production. Students usually have to raise money to help and the students involved in the project reach out to the community for assistance.

Ms. Rosario said that the book can take $40,000 to produce. Some of the reasons could be the big portraits, the cover, the quality of the paper and the color added to each page. That is why the cost of each book is between $90 and $100.
